What the work has been

The engagements that defined the first five years were platform separations, governed lakehouse builds and SAP estate modernisation — work where the hard part is rarely the tooling.

EngagementWhat it wasPublished outcome
Fortune-100 retailerData separation behind a cloud-native demerger≈$2.5M migration savings; sovereign data foundation
Global beverages leaderReplacing a 70-FTE manual harmonisation process with a governed lakehouse£3.3M savings; 70-FTE process automated; 40% faster time-to-analytics

How those figures were validated

None of them was audited independently, and the case studies say so individually. The ≈$2.5M was validated with the client's own finance function during the programme; it is not a recurring run-rate saving. The £3.3M was validated under the shared-risk commercial model agreed for that engagement. The 40% time-to-analytics figure is measured against a baseline of manual review, and the 40% onboarding reduction reflects reuse on one estate rather than a portable rate. The two ranges marked client-estimated were assessed by the client against their own prior estate, not against an independent benchmark. Two engagements publish no number at all, because there is none worth publishing.

That list is deliberate. A five-year note is the easiest place in the world to round figures upward.

Where we deliver from

The UK company is the contracting and publishing entity; delivery and operations run through Unolabs Technologies Private Limited in Pune. Engineering works across the UK, India, Australia and Hong Kong. The split is a legal and data-protection structure, not a marketing one: the UK entity is Data Controller, the Indian entity Processor.

What we would flag

Five years is long enough to have opinions and short enough that they are still being revised. Three that have survived contact with delivery:

01

Dependency mapping is delivery work

Not pre-project overhead. It consumes real calendar time before any visible migration progress, which makes it the first phase compressed when a steering committee wants movement — and the compression is what surfaces later as scope.

02

The estate you scope is not the estate you migrate

On a multi-year programme the target moves under you. Plans that assume a frozen source system are describing a system that will not exist by the time the work lands.

03

Most of what is measured is never read

In mature warehouse estates the largest bucket of objects is the one that never runs at all. Migrating it anywhere, on any path, is the most expensive habit in the field.

The clearest of the three is the first, and it is the one clients most often decline to fund.

What is next

The nearest fixed date in this market is not ours. Mainstream maintenance for SAP BW 7.5 ends on 31 December 2027, with extended maintenance to 2030 at a premium; SAP ECC 6 (EHP6–8) shares that date. Most of the next two years of work in the SAP estate is already determined by it.

The commitment that carries forward is the delivery shape rather than a target: a first production wave in 16–24 weeks, and a published record where each outcome states how it was validated and what it does not prove.
