London, United Kingdom — August 6, 2026 — Unolabs Limited, the Data & AI engineering consultancy, has appointed Sandeep Sudarshan as Co-Founder and Chief Growth Officer with effect from 6 August 2026. He leads growth strategy together with Unolabs' media and market positioning.

Sudarshan joins after nearly four years as CTO for Telecom & Media at Capgemini UK, where he led solution architects on large-scale transformation programmes spanning IT, networks and devices. He held earlier leadership roles at Wipro.

The remit

The role covers three things, and it is worth being precise about which:

  • Growth strategy — which markets Unolabs pursues, in what order, and which it declines.
  • Market positioning — how the firm describes what it does, and the published record that has to stand behind that description.
  • The commercial side of engagements — scoping, sequencing and the conversations that happen before a programme starts.

It does not cover delivery. Engineering and architecture remain with the CTO, and delivery governance with the CEO.

Key facts

  • Appointment: Sandeep Sudarshan, Co-Founder & Chief Growth Officer
  • Effective: 6 August 2026
  • Previously: CTO, Telecom & Media, Capgemini UK — nearly four years
  • Earlier: Leadership roles at Wipro
  • Remit: Growth strategy, media and market positioning
  • Reports into: The Executive Board, alongside Akshay Raj (Founder & Chief Executive Officer) and Binu Kuttappan (Founder & Chief Technology Officer)
  • Entity: Unolabs Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 13424804

What this means for clients

The practical difference is upstream of the statement of work. Scoping conversations that previously competed for the founders' time now have a named owner, which should shorten the gap between a first conversation and a costed, sequenced plan.

The market he joins

Unolabs' positioning rests on a delivery claim that is specific enough to be wrong: a first production wave in 16–24 weeks, rather than a whole-estate programme that reports progress in slides. The firm publishes 24 engineering services across strategy, data engineering, platforms, SAP, AI and governance, and the case record behind them.

The nearest fixed deadline in that market is SAP's. Mainstream maintenance for SAP BW 7.5 ends on 31 December 2027, with extended maintenance available to 2030 at a premium; SAP ECC 6 (EHP6–8) shares the same date. Every enterprise still running BW has a decision to make before then, and the decision is architectural rather than commercial — which is the kind of conversation this role exists to have earlier and more often.

Why now

Unolabs was founded in 2021 and delivers from the United Kingdom and Pune, with engagements reaching Hong Kong and Melbourne. Growth to date has come through referral and repeat work — a motion that is durable and slow, and that nobody owned as a full-time responsibility. This appointment puts a named owner on it.

What we would flag

A growth appointment is the point at which a consultancy is most likely to start describing work it has not done. The published case record is the check on that: six engagements, each with its outcome stated alongside how the figure was validated and what it does not prove. The remit above includes market positioning precisely because that record, and not the positioning, is the constraint.
